Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Sous Chef to join our team at Upstream Brewing Company in Omaha, NE. As a valuable member of our culinary team, the Banquet Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing banquet food preparation, planning and executing menus, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the highest quality of food presentation and taste.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of banquet food preparation as well as a la carte
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious banquet menu and special ideas
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and quality output
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Banquet Chef or similar role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards
- Culinary degree or related certification is a plus
- Passion for food and creativity in menu planning
