Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hot Prep Soups and Sauces chef at Upstream Brewing in Omaha, NE. As a Hot Prep Soups and Sauces chef, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations by ensuring that our guests enjoy the best culinary experience possible.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook soups and sauces according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all soups, sauces, and accompanying ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all sanitation guidelines.
• Assist in receiving and properly storing ingredients and supplies.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new, creative soup and sauce recipes.
• Monitor and control portion sizes to minimize waste.
• Contribute to the overall success of the kitchen by assisting in other food preparation tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with soups and sauces in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail is a must - we strive for perfection in every dish.
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from others.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques.
